Clinical Mental Health Counseling M.S.

Admission Requirements

Completion of all Feinstein School of Education and Human Development admission requirements.
A minimum of 6 credit hours of course work in psychology or related field.
A Performance-Based Evaluation of professional work or volunteer experience.
A current résumé.
A group and/or individual interview with CEP counseling faculty.

Retention Requirements

A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 each semester. Grades below a B are not considered of graduate quality and are of limited application to degree work.
A minimum grade of B- in CEP 531 or CEP 532 or their equivalent. Students who receive a grade below a B- in either of these courses must consult with their advisor before registering for any subsequent course in the plan of study.
A minimum grade of B in CEP 538, CEP 539, CEP 610, CEP 611, CEP 683 and CEP 684 is required. Students who receive a grade below a B in any of these courses must meet with the program director. If it is recommended that the student continue in the program, the student must retake the course.
A satisfactory rating on the assessment portfolio.
Failure to meet any one of the above requirements is sufficient cause for dismissal from the program.
