HIST 342 Islam and Politics in Modern History

The causes, manifestations, and forms of Islamic resurgence since the nineteenth century are studied. Islam's role in relationship to sociopolitical changes is analyzed through selected case studies.

4 credit hours.

Prerequisite

Completion of one of the following: HIST 101, HIST 102, HIST 103, HIST 104, HIST 105, HIST 106, HIST 107, or HIST 161; or consent of department chair.
