HIST 349 History of Contemporary Africa

Africa from 1960 to the present is examined. Topics include the nature of independence, Africa in world affairs, problems of nation building, and the search for unity, stability, and regional cooperation.

Credits

4 credit hours.

Prerequisite

Completion of one of the following: HIST 101, HIST 102, HIST 103, HIST 104, HIST 105, HIST 106, HIST 107, or HIST 161; or consent of department chair.
