HIST 307 Europe in the Age of Enlightenment

Essential themes, from the Peace of Westphalia to the eve of the French Revolution, are examined. Topics include absolutism, the Age of Louis XIV, the scientific revolution, and the Enlightenment.

Prerequisite

Completion of one of the following: HIST 101, HIST 102, HIST 103, HIST 104, HIST 105, HIST 106, HIST 107, or HIST 161; or consent of department chair.
