HIST 324 Crises of American Modernity, 1914-1945

Students examine how tradition and modernity clashed in music, art and ideas, and how Americans grappled with prohibition, the Great Depression, global war and the dawn of the atomic age.

Completion of one of the following: HIST 101, HIST 102, HIST 103, HIST 104, HIST 105, HIST 106, HIST 107, or HIST 161; or consent of department chair.
